If you have a pet you probably have bags of pet food just sitting around taking up space or looking messy in a corner somewhere of your home (I know we did!). Here's what worked for us: Plastic Trash Cans!
Trash cans with lids make great storage for something like this. This is a very cheap trash can with a hinged lid, but one day I'd like to get something larger and more attractive - but for now it keeps the bags out of the way, the food gets stored, and it doesn't look so cluttered to have it sitting out in the open. Ours is in the corner of our kitchen. Thanks for reading!!

That would never work for HowBella. They would knock it down and eat until they looked like little basset logs! We have theirs in a giant tupperware with a lid that closes securely in place...even though they think they can get in. The giant tupperware fits a whole bag of dogfood from Costco!
I use 2 two gallon plastic containers with flip top lids. (cheap ones from Dollar General) I keep them on the floor beside my pie safe in the laundry room. I don't like unsightly dog food bags either.
I use the large plastic ones with locking lids to keep my chicken feed in. They work wonderfully!
We use cleaned kitty litter buckets with flip top lids; we use one as a diaper pail too.
